[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A 5Days Gorilla Safari to Uganda and Rwanda. This safari takes you for gorilla tracking twice in the two known homes to the mountain gorillas. You will have a gorilla tracking experience in Uganda and another in the Volcanoes National park of Rwanda. This will offer you the opportunity to experience the gorilla tracking adventure in the two different gorilla parks with different terrain and vegetation cover.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi NP
Your tour guide / driver shall pick you from the airport on arrival or Hotel in Kigali and take you for an optional city tour to visit the genocide memorial, Nyamata church, local markets among others. Later, you will drive north and cross over to Uganda via Katuna Border and proceed to Bwindi NP. Dinner and overnight stay at Ruhiija Lodge/Bakiga Lodge/Gorilla Mist Camp.
Day 2: 1st Gorilla trekking adventure and nature walk
You will head to the park headquarters after your early breakfast with packed lunch to be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. You will then enter the forest in search of the gentle giants. This may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the animals on the day. In the evening, you may go for cultural walk to the Batwa community. Dinner and overnight stay. (day 1)
Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will set off to Volcanoes National Park via Cyanika Border. You will reach early for nature walk and cultural walk to Iby’wachu. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge/Le bambou Gorilla Lodge/Muhabura Hotel.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking and cultural walk
You will wake up early for breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters by 7:00 am to start the briefing about the dos and don’ts with the gorillas. 5Days Double Gorilla Tracking, You will then be allocated the gorilla tracking group and then the driver will drive you up to the starting point of the gorilla tracking group allocated and then ascend the forest for the memorable adventure. Once you see the gorillas, a maximum of one hour is allowed to stay with them before descending back to the starting point. On descent, you will meet your driver/guide and drive back to your Lodge for refreshment. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk to Iby’wachu where you will be entertained in Banyarwanda traditional songs and learn more about their culture. Dinner and overnight stay at your Lodge.
Day 5: Golden Monkey tracking and transfer back to Kigali and Departure
In the morning after an early breakfast, you will gather at the park headquarters for briefing before ascending the forest for golden monkey tracking where you will enjoy them play in the forest in search of food. On return, you will set off back to Kigali reaching early for shopping if necessary and later transfer to the airport to check in for your departure flight if scheduled in the evening.
