Top Safari Destinations in Uganda 2021, A lot has changed concerning travel, around the globe there is so much tension since the out break of the novel virus which has led to restricted travels across countries and temporally closure of entry borders leading to a lockdown. Bwindi  Forest National Park
The Park is home to the only surviving endangered mountain gorillas together with Mgahinga gorilla national park adjacent to each other, both in southwestern Uganda. since temporal closure of national parks in 2020, the gorilla had ample time for reproduction, it is noted out of more than 20 gorilla families in Bwindi, 70% of them have new baby infants which makes it more interesting to trek the gorillas and spend time with one a full complete family occupied by the lead silverback, adult females and males, juveniles and infants. Visitors allowed to track the gorillas during this time must obtain a gorilla permit and most importantly test Negative for covid-19. A gorilla permit costs USD 700, however, has been discounted to US dollar 400 for foreign visitors. Permits can be obtained directly from the Uganda wildlife authority or through a licensed travel tour operator.
Queen Elizabeth national park
Uganda’s most visited national park because of its diverse nature. The Park features a number of wildlife species, crater lakes, primates, bird species, reptiles among many others. The main touristic activities include a game drive and viewing along kasenyi track where you will spot a number of mammal species such as lions, leopards, elephants, warthogs, kobs, hyenas, bush pigs among many others. Complement the day with a crater lake drive or launch cruise at kazinga channel where lake Edward meets lake George. Primate watch can also be done in Kyambura gorge with a number of chimpanzees, black and white monkeys, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, etc.
Other than being the most visited park, Queen Elizabeth national park is at the center of connection to other parks such as Bwindi Forest national park for gorilla trekking and Kibale forest national park for chimpanzee tracking which makes it easier to visit other parks.
Kibale National Park
Kibale is home to a large concentration of primates which include the 12 primate species, however, the major touristic activity in the park is chimpanzee tracking. Kibale forest national park hosts over 1500 where travelers from all over the world gather to watch the closest relatives of human beings. It is a very deep lake in Africa with an interesting overview of 29 small islands which you can explore on a boat ride. It is strategically located in the heart of Kabale town close to the border of Kigali an hour drive into Uganda, it is also near Mgahinga gorilla national park and Bwindi Forest National Park which makes it easy for visitors to access it. Lake Mburo national park
It is one of the smallest parks among all the national parks, but what makes it unique are its features, Lake Mburo has 13 lakes within, the park is known for its dotted acacia woodlands which is home to various species such as Giraffes, zebras easy to spot, bush pigs, kobs, elands, Jackson heart beasts, and many others. The Park is strategically located on Mbarara highway with easy accessibility. It is the best stopover for visitors who are heading for Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and Mgahinga to shorten the journey and rest.
Source of the Nile
The longest source of the Nile is in Uganda where it flows up to Egypt.
