Water Falls in Uganda, There is also the hidden beauty within the country that is rarely talked about, Uganda is known for wildlife safaris, good weather but it also has the natural serene beauty forming rapid waterfalls in the different parts of the country. Some of these waterfalls in Uganda include;

Sipi falls

Of recent Sipi falls is the love of everyone, the falls originate from Mount Elgon at the highest elevation of 1,775m on the foothills of Elgon flowing up to the Kyoga basin. At the top of the falls, it’s beautiful rewarding with the Aerial view of Mbale town. It thus surrounding by lodging facilities that accommodate travelers.  Hiking from the bottom of the falls takes about 20 minutes to the top through well-maintained trails is thrilling, above there is a cluster of caves, shrines, and grain of rock salt. A guided nature walk is important to tour the surrounding environment with such interesting information.

Sipi falls is dauting with beauty with beautiful scenery for photography, no doubt the falls are eye-catching, they have become a haven for Honeymoon and those proposing. Other than the hike to visit the falls, you could also join in to visit the nearby coffee plantations.

Murchison falls

The falls are the main feature of Murchison falls national park; Murchison falls is characterized by the thunderous roar of the white water forcing its self through a narrow gorge. The falls have a spectacular view as they find their way into the pool of Nile river which bisects the park into the Northern and southern banks. The Nile river thus flows into Lake Albert. There are alternative ways to explore the falls including a 30-minute guided hike to the top of the falls for a clear view of where the falls originate, or just a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. The banks of the river are harbored with elephants, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles, and schools of hippos.

Uhuru falls

These falls are overshadowed by the mighty Murchison falls, however; they are adjacent to each other with a spectacular view as they flow to the Nile river. Uhuru falls created their passage in 1962 after a heavy down pour and the same year Uganda obtained its independence from the British.

Karuma falls

The Karuma Falls are situated along Masindi- Gulu highway crossing the Victoria Nile River. The falls comprise of natural good-looking rocks at the base of the Victoria Nile which forms a ripple appearance of white foam, Water Falls in Uganda, The display appearance is eye-catching as the white water flows towards the Northern part of Uganda. Karuma bridge was thus constructed to help connect the districts as they cross over. Karuma falls are adjacent to the Murchison falls the largest conservation area.

Ssezibwa falls

The falls have a serene and breathe taking ambiance, they are situated in Mukono district with a rich cultural significance in Buganda kingdom. It is believed a woman from the fox clan gave birth to the falls as twins, one named Ssezibwa while the other Mobeya. Up to now traditional, they are believed to inhabit the falls. The cultural and traditional mystery that surrounds it gives makes it a must-go destination. Being close to Kampala and very accessible is an added advantage.  The falls attract a number of people forget ways and baptism in the pool of water.
